WEST HILL COMMUNITY CENTER

Located in an island of King County surrounded by Incorporated Cities, this building provides an identity for a neighborhood striving to maintain its sense community. The 5,000 square foot building provides an information center to access recreation programs held in neighboring facilities such as the gym of the adjacent junior high school. Within the building are a kitchen, game room and conference rooms, providing a teen center for after school programs.

Flexibility and security were key design elements, realized through folding walls, rolling counter doors, and location of the staff desk with good visibility to all rooms and entrances of the building.
